The Nantahala Hiking Club will take an easy 1.2-mile hike Jan. 27 on Lakeside Trail. Meet at the Macon County Health Center on Lakeside Drive in Franklin at 2 p.m. Call leader Jean Hunnicutt, 524-5234, for reservations. Visitors are welcome, no pets please.
